If you want to become a Kitesurfing instructor then the IKO professional programme is your passport to a rewarding career.

IKO Assistant Instructor
Be at least 16 years old
Be certified as an IKO kiteboarder level 3 for at least 6 months
Have a powerboat license or equivalent skill level if no obligatory license is required in the home country
Have a valid first aid certificate

IKO Instructor level 1
Be at least 18 years old
Kiteboard for more than 6 months and be able to perform a jump, a controlled turn, switch riding, and be able to ride between other riders
Have an IKO assistant instructor certification or justify a teaching experience in a water or aerial sport
Have a valid first aid certificate
Have a powerboat license or equivalent skill level if no obligatory license is required in the home country

IKO Instructor level 2
Be an IKO instructor level 1
Teach 160 hours to minimum 20 students and maximum 30 students

IKO Instructor level 2 senior
Be an instructor level 2
Teach + 840 hours (1000 hours in total) and minimum +100 students (120 in total)

IKO Examiner
Be an instructor level 2 senior and have at least 2 years of teaching experience
Have taught to students in different locations Be fluent in English and preferably another language Be at least 25 years old
